Welcome to Patchwork (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our web application (the “Service”). By accessing or using Patchwork, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Patchwork.
  • By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

  • To use certain features, you must create an account through OAuth providers (e.g., Discord, Google).
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Some features may require a paid subscription.
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
  • We do not store your payment card information; billing details are managed by Stripe.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your account settings.
  • Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy (if applicable).

4. User Content

  • You may upload media for processing (e.g., video or image files).
  • You retain all rights to your content.
  • By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process and deliver the edited content back to you.
  • Uploaded files are removed after processing, while processed outputs may be stored temporarily (see Privacy Policy).
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe on third-party rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
  • Upload content that is illegal, abusive, or infringing.
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or misuse the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All rights, title, and interest in Patchwork, including trademarks, logos, software, and content, remain our property or that of our licensors.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

  • The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • We make no warranties or representations regarding availability, accuracy, or reliability.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability for any claims related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) in the last 12 months.

9. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your rights to use the Service immediately end.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
